May is Osteoporosis Awareness month and as an 8 yr volunteer for the national organization American Bone Health, I typically lead community workshops this month on the topic of bone health and fracture prevention. With the Covid-19 situation, those are all canceled. I wanted to offer something special that would both benefit my greater community and American Bone Health.
On Sunday, May 17 at 12 noon PT I’ll be offering a BoneSmart Do’s and Don’t Workshop via Zoom. This special workshop will cover the basics of how to move safely with a diagnosis of osteopenia or osteoporosis including how to find your ideal posture, how to lift safely, what exercises help with hip and spine bone strength, and how to avoid fracture. We’ll allow time for your questions at the end.
All proceeds from this class will be donated to American Bone Health. To register for this class choose a donation amount from the drop-down menu and then check out through the Bonesmart Pilates website. You’ll get a link to the Zoom class in an email the day before the class.
